A toddler I love
I wish I could stop the time
To revive our old moments
And still have you as mine
I wish I was a superman to fly against the earth spin
Hold it for a moment and just kiss your chin
… Maybe to lock the clock,
hold you longer in my lap
Or to invent the time machine
To
have you always a child back!
Please… is somebody there to help me!?
Oh I wish!!
I wish to bring back those happy moments
Our
good times, to laugh, to feed you at the table
And
now I think, how can I fix it ?
.... Straight your hand as if you could,
....and touch mine, as if you were to return back
But what kind a fool man am I?
If I only look back and noticed that all is gone
My simple notes
My best cotes
And my little ones
You were there all the time
Making me laugh
Sometimes making me angry
…But how come?
If you only smile and make it all funny.
It was good, oh sure it was
It was pure, certainly it was
It is not the end for me
You will be there
but not in my lap
I will still be your dad
